www vs. non-www in domain name URLs

Have you noticed that sometimes the website has the “www” in the web address and sometimes not? Why and what is better? Leave your thoughts below in the comments why you would use a non-www url structure.

I choose not to use the www. Why? For SEO reasons. Sometimes 3 less characters in the url title helps. The closer your keyword to the beginning of the URL, the better. 😉 Also, if you choose to have both work, I’ve found it can cause conflicts of canonical urls or duplicate content issues.
