There are many website testing tools out there that can analyze different parts your website. Many have different types of data they test, from HTML, Structured data to SEO and more. I’m going to drop info here as I come across helpful tools that I like to use.
Google Structured Data Testing Tool
Use Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool to run a quick test of your website data. Look for errors and warnings for recommended tips on how to improve your website’s structured data.
Google Search Console
Google Search Console is great for troubleshooting website errors. You can check the sitemap xml file to make sure google is indexing it correctly. You can also view what web queries are bringing you traffic, as well as your website’s impressions, clicks, and position on Google Search. You will get some great clues about how to market your business here!
Website Auditor
I use Website Auditor application almost every day that I’m working on website SEO. To start, add the website you want to analyze as a new project and run the Site Audit tool. You can run multiple audits as your website content changes so you can monitor your website performance when you want.
Website Auditor shows a long list of warnings, errors and issues categorized by sections: indexing and crawlability, redirects, encoding and technical factors, URLs, links, on-page, and localization. Start tackling all the issues you know how to fix. Some are obvious problems that can be over-looked, like missing meta data. Some issues require a different level of expertise. Each section’s issue has a detailed description of what the problem is and recommended steps to fix it.
